Dr. Jangda is the President of Long Island Psychiatric Associates and previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
He has held several leadership roles, including President of the APPNA New York Chapter, and has remained actively engaged with his alumni organization, DOGANA.
Dr. Jangda has been involved in numerous philanthropic initiatives in both the United States and Pakistan, including support for PWA at Civil Hospital Karachi and Friends of Indus Hospital.
As a Trustee and Secretary of Friends of Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital since its inception in the United States, Dr. Jangda works closely with dedicated volunteers under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Javed Suleman and President Dr. Iqbal Zafar Hamid. He remains deeply committed

Dr. Qureshi is the former President and Chief Medical Officer of QDx Pathology Services, which he founded in 2006. He previously held academic appointments at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and has been actively involved in research with numerous publications.
Deeply committed to empowering the Pakistani American community, Dr. Qureshi has served as President of APPNA, DOGANA, and NJ APPNA, and has supported multiple philanthropic initiatives in the United States and Pakistan. He joined APF’s Board in 2018, later becoming Chairman. Dr. Qureshi joined the Board of Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital in 2023, viewing HSMH as a passion project dedicated to bringing quality healthcare to underserved communities in Malir, Karachi.

What began as a simple idea has, through the grace of Allah and the unwavering support of our community, grown into a state-of-the-art hospital that is nearing completion. Today, we are closer than ever to opening our doors and serving the people of Malir, Karachi with dignity, excellence, and care.

About Dr. Javed Suleman
Dr. Javed Suleman is an interventional cardiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, recognized for clinical excellence and leadership. He has served as President of APPNA and is the founding leader of multiple professional organizations. As Founding Chairman of HSMH, he brings a clear vision and deep commitment to advancing sustainable, high-quality healthcare for underserved communities.

Dr. Akhtar Hamidi, a graduate of Sind Medical College (Batch of 1984), has dedicated over 27 years to the practice of psychiatry, with a strong focus on serving underserved communities. He currently provides tele-psychiatric services at one of the Friends of HSMH Free Clinics in Karachi.
Dr. Hamidi has held several leadership roles, including President of JSMUAANA, President of the APPNA Arizona Chapter, and serving on the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center of East Valley, Arizona.
As a Trustee of Friends of HSMH, he is committed to providing regular tele-psychiatric services once Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital becomes operational in December 2026, In-Sha-Allah, and actively supports the mission through strategic, operational, technological and fundraising initiatives across the United States.

At Friends of Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital, our focus has been to build not only a hospital, but a strong and sustainable support system that ensures its successful completion and long-term operation.
Over the past year, we have worked diligently across the country to mobilize fundraising efforts through gala dinners, community events, Iftar gatherings, our Ramadan Telethon, mailing campaigns, text outreach, and digital platforms. This has truly been a collective effort, and we are deeply grateful to our donors, supporters, and volunteers who have stepped forward with generosity and trust.
As part of strengthening our outreach and transparency, we have recently revamped our website, www.friendsofhsmh.org, where you can explore our progress, initiatives, and opportunities to get involved.
As we approach the final stages, our efforts are now equally focused on operational readiness — including recruitment of leadership, systems development, and ensuring that the hospital is fully equipped to deliver high-quality care from day one.

About Dr. Iqbal Zafar Hamid
Dr. Iqbal Zafar Hamid is a practicing Anesthesiologist in Florida and serves as the President of Friends of Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital. A graduate of Cadet College Petaro and Sindh Medical College, he has held multiple leadership roles within his alumni association and local APPNA chapter He served as President of APPNA in 2018 as well. He has been actively involved in initiatives such as the One Rupee School in Karachi and the development of mobile health clinics across Pakistan, reflecting his strong commitment to service and community impact.
